Privacy policy
Last updated June 1, 2026
Demand Letter Kit ("we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. This is a summary written for the demonstration build and is not a substitute for a lawyer-drafted policy tailored to your deployment.
The short version
Your demand letter is created in your browser. The details you type into the generator — names, addresses, amounts, the description of your dispute — are processed on your own device to build the letter, and stored only in your browser's local storage so you can come back to your draft. We do not transmit or store the contents of your dispute on our servers.
What we collect
- Letter content: stays on your device (browser local storage). You can clear it anytime by clearing your browser data.
- Account & payment information: if you purchase a download or mailing service, our payment processor collects the information needed to process the transaction. We don't store full card numbers.
- Order & mailing details: if you use the certified-mail service, we process the recipient address and letter needed to mail it.
- Usage analytics: we use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect aggregate, non-identifying usage data — such as pages viewed, device type and country — to understand and improve the site.
How we use information
To provide the service, process payments and mailings you request, respond to support requests, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies & analytics
On your first visit we ask whether to enable analytics cookies. Until you accept, Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode (Google Consent Mode) and sets no analytics cookies. If you accept, we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it — it then sets cookies and processes usage data on our behalf (see Google's Privacy Policy). You can change your mind any time by clearing cookies, or opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Data retention
Letter drafts live in your browser until you clear them. Order records are retained as required for accounting and legal purposes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Contact guptaaryan583@gmail.com to make a request.
